January 20, 2020 - Rudean Leinaeng at the Jay Heritage Center in Rye, NY during the American Women of African Heritage (AWAH) annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary Celebration.
Rudean shared a captivating reading and lively discussion about her historical novel, Coal, War, and Love. The book is based on the life of her grandfather, Al Johnson, who belonged to the celebrated 369th Infantry Regiment-the “Harlem Hellfighters.”
